Osseous Surgery
EASTPOINTE | GROSSE POINTE | ST. CLAIR SHORES

Traditionally, gum disease is treated by eliminating the gum pockets. The infected gum tissue is trimmed away and uneven bone tissue re-contoured.  This is still the most common form of periodontal surgery used to treat gum disease. Surgery usually lasts one hour per area. Patients routinely do very well after surgery.
